Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 15, 2026

1. Scope and Definitions

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes the principles regarding the data processed during the use of the Adayda mobile application ("Application") developed by Ayda Merve Arslan ("Company", "we").

The Application is a parental tool used by parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's device usage and evaluate content appropriateness. The Application is not directed at children and is not offered under the "Made for Kids" category.

2. Target User and Age Requirement

The Application is designed to be used solely by parents and legal guardians. By using the Application, you acknowledge, represent, and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, and
  • You hold parental or legal guardianship rights over the child being monitored/analyzed.
Important: The Application is not intended for use by children; no accounts are created on behalf of children, no direct personal data entry by children is collected, and no marketing or advertising is targeted at children.

3. Screen Recording and Explicit Disclosure

The Application uses Apple's infrastructure. Screen recording:

  • Only operates when the user explicitly initiates it through the Apple system interface,
  • Cannot be started silently or in the background by the Application,
  • Covers on-screen activity while the recording is active.

The Application is not designed for "covert monitoring" or initiating recordings without the user's knowledge.

4. Categories of Data Processed

4.1. Recording Content Generated on the Device

During recording, the Application may create short video segments on the device and transmit them to the server for analysis. This content may qualify as "user content."

4.2. Child Profile Information (Local)

Limited profile information that can be entered by the parent within the Application (e.g., name/label, age, language preferences) is stored on the device. No persistent profile that could identify a user/child is created on the server side.

4.3. Usage and Technical/Crash Data (Firebase)

The following Firebase services are used in the Application: Remote Config, App Check, Crashlytics, Analytics, and Push Notifications.

In this context, the following types of data may be processed:

  • Technical information such as app version, device model/OS
  • Crash reports and error diagnostic data (Crashlytics)
  • In-app events/activities (Analytics events)
  • Technical identifiers required for notification delivery (Push)

The Company has not designed the Application to collect categories such as location, contacts, messages, financial information, or health data.

5. Video Transmission and Server-Side Processing (Ephemeral Processing)

The Application may, in certain cases, securely transmit video segments to servers for analysis purposes.

The Company's principle is data minimization. In this regard:

  • Video segments are not permanently stored on the server side,
  • Video data is processed only in-memory during the analysis,
  • After the analysis is complete, the video data is deleted/discarded from memory,
  • Video content is neither sold nor shared with third parties.

Analysis results (e.g., appropriateness assessment, risk level, description) may be displayed within the Application to provide the user experience.

6. Purposes of Data Processing

Data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Providing the core functions of the Application (recording, analysis, and presenting results)
  • Improving performance and reliability (error/crash diagnostics)
  • Product improvement and usage analysis (through aggregate statistics)
  • Security (reducing misuse through App Check)
  • Delivering optional notifications

7. Legal Basis

Data processed in the Application may be processed based on the legal grounds of performance of a contract, legitimate interest, and/or explicit consent in accordance with applicable legislation.

Given its nature as a parental tool, the service is provided based on information supplied by the parent/legal guardian and recordings initiated by the parent's explicit action.

8. Sharing with Third Parties

Google Firebase is used as a technical infrastructure service within the scope of the Application. Firebase services operate for application security, crash reporting, analytics, and remote configuration purposes.

Beyond this, video segments qualifying as user content are not shared for third-party advertising or tracking purposes. The Company does not sell personal data.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K Approach)

The Application is not directed at children and does not target direct use by children. The Company does not intentionally aim to collect personal data from children.

The parent/legal guardian is responsible for conducting monitoring and analysis activities and must fulfill the necessary information/consent obligations within the framework of applicable local legislation.

If there is a reasonable suspicion that personal data has been directly collected from a child, please contact us.

10. Data Security

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are implemented to ensure data security (e.g., secure communication, access controls, data minimization). However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

11. Retention Periods

Local recording data is under the user's control on the device. The user can delete recordings from within the Application at any time.

Since video content is not permanently stored on the server side, no separate retention period applies to video. Technical diagnostic records (e.g., crash reports) are limited to periods consistent with the relevant service provider settings and applicable legislation.

12. Your Rights

Under applicable legislation, you may have rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and objection regarding your personal data. To exercise these rights, you can reach us through the contact channels below.

13. Changes to the Policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time. In the event of an update, the "Last updated" date will be revised. Your continued use of the Application means you accept the updated Policy.
